A PSYCHO LOVE THRILLER
Flynn hasn’t left his apartment in six months. His life has fallen apart. Only two things bring him solace; watching Hitchcock films and masquerading as a 1940s private eye. His flat mate Scottie is concerned. But when Flynn takes an unhealthy interest in a neighbour across the street, Scottie begins to get really concerned.
Flynn is convinced that she is leading a double life and nicknames her Judy after the femme fatale in Vertigo. Against Scottie’s advice he decides to follow her, and begins a sequence of events that could be taken straight out of a Hitchcock film.

Liam orafferty
Book/Music/Lyrics
A self-taught musician, composer and script writer, Liam brought his first musical Paper Hearts to a sold-out preview at London’s Waterloo East theatre before taking it to the 2016 Edinburgh Fringe for a highly successful run. Liam’s next musical, Finding Hitchcock, was inspired by his love of Alfred Hitchcock films. Set in present day and the 1940s, it mixes film noir with contemporary themes and centres on two people who immerse themselves in his films to escape their troubled lives.
Working with musical arranger Michael Reed, they recorded 17 songs from the show which become part of a workshop directed by Anthony Van Laast. Preformed at Regents Park Studios in October 2024 with an amazing cast, the shortened version of the musical was very well received.
Liam would love to take Finding Hitchcock to the next level and work with a producing theatre to realise the shows full potential. His drive and ambition for someone who has not been classically trained is extraordinary, with a raw talent for writing music that emotionally connects with an audience. Liam’s influences are varied, from Jonathan Larson to Lerner and Loewe. His music can be described as a combination of blues, jazz and pop.
